Removing ( Refitting )

Before removing and refitting the Air Bag module, carry out the following preliminary operations.Position the vehicle with the front wheels straight.Turn the ignition key to the STOP position and extract it.Disconnect the battery terminals and insulate them.Wait for 10 minutes before continuing.

FOLLOW ALL THE RECOMMENDED SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

    Op. 5580C AIR BAG SYSTEM     Op. 7045A10 FRONT SEAT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045B10 FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. 1. Prise up trim base (1a) and undo backrest cushion cover clips (1b).2. Cut the backrest cushion cover retaining rings. 1. Unhook the side air bag retaining band. - Lift the cover until able to access the seat folding lever. 1. Working on tab (1a) disconnect link (1b) and remove front seat folding lever (1c). Refitting ( Removing ) - Connect the link and fit the front seat folding lever.- Unhook the side air bag retaining band.- Fit the cover and using suitable pliers, crimp the new clamps in the area where the cover and padding meet.

- Fasten the cover handles.- Mould the backrest padding cover over the padding, making sure that the fabric is taut and not creased.    Op. 7045B10 FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.     Op. 7045A10 FRONT SEAT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. - Connect the battery terminals.
