Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 7210E20 R.R. BONNET     Op. 7210E18 R.R. FRONT WING     Op. 7210A30 R.R. FRONT WING MOUNTING BRACKET    Op. 7210A46 R R (COMPLETE) UPPER FRONT STRUT (ONE) LH OR RH    Op. 7210A31 R R FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER ATTACHMENT DOME, (ONE) LH OR RH - Ensure that the components connected are not distorted by checking the body alignment measurements with suitable equipment (reference rigs, templates or gauges).- Straighten the body as necessary.
1. Cut in the area shown in the diagram using a saw.
- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds. 1. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.2. Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds, then remove the metal offcut.
- Work from inside the passenger compartment (fire partition).- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds. 1. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.
- Work in the area where the strut is attached to the bodyshell, engine compartment side.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds. 1. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.
- Work in the inner strut attachment area.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds. 1. Use the drill to chamfer the spot weld shown in the diagram.2. Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds, then remove the metal offcut.
- Straighten the edges of the vehicle using a hammer and dolly block.- Remove the spot weld residues using a disc grinder.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously treated areas. 1. Apply electro-weldable paint to the area shown in the diagram.
Refitting ( Removing ) 1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the areas of the inner part of the side panel using the rotatry brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
1. Position the inner part of the side panel correctly on the vehicle using self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment.2. Fill weld in the areas shown using a MIG welder
- Work in the inner strut attachment area. 1. Fill weld in the area shown using a MIG welder
1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the areas of the inner part of the side panel using the rotatry brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.2. Drill out the part at the indicated points.
1. Position the outer part of the side panel correctly on the vehicle using self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment.2. Fill weld in the areas shown using a MIG welder3. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.
- Fit the replacement crossmember attachment flange using self-locking clamps. 1. During the fitting operation, check that the replacement part tab (1a) is positioned outside the box section and that tab (1b) is positioned inside the box section and that the lower tab is positioned outside the box section.2. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.3. Use a MIG welder to seam weld in the areas shown.
