Removing ( Refitting ) Op. 7210E36 R.R. FRONT SIDE DOOR Op. 7210E20 R.R. BONNET Op. 7210E18 R.R. FRONT WING Op. 7210A46 R R (COMPLETE) UPPER FRONT STRUT (ONE) LH OR RH - Ensure that the components connected are not distorted by checking the body alignment measurements with suitable equipment (reference rigs, templates or gauges).- Straighten the body as necessary.
1. Cut the pillar in the area shown in the diagram using a saw.
- Work in the area of the underdoor side member.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds.
1. Use a chamfering machine on the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.
- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds.
1. Use a chamfering machine on the spot welds shown in the diagram.2. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.- Remove the outer part of the front pillar.
- Work in the lower area of the vehicle near the underdoor side member.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds.
1. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.- Remove the metl offcut.
1. Use a chamfering machine on the spot welds shown in the diagram.2. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.- Remove the inner reinforcement for the front pillar.
- Straighten the edges of the vehicle using a hammer and dolly block.- Remove the spot weld residues using a disc grinder.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously treated areas.
1. Apply electro-weldable paint to the area shown in the diagram.

1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the areas shown using a rotary brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
1. Drill the replacement inner reinforcement for the front pillar at the points shown.
1. Position the replacement front pillar inner reinforcement correctly on the vehicle using the self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment.2. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.3. Carry out fill welding in the areas shown using the MIG welder
- Work on the lower part of the front pillar inner reinforcement.
1. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.2. Carry out fill welding in the areas shown using the MIG welder
- Use the hack-sawing machine and cut a section from the replacement part of the same size as the part removed previously.- Work on the inner part of the replacement pillar cover as illustrated.
1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the areas shown using a rotary brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
- Work on the outer part of the replacement pillar cover as illustrated.
1. Drill out the part at the indicated points.
1. Position the replacement front pillar cover correctly on the vehicle using the self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment.2. Carry out seam welding in the areas shown using the MIG welder3. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.4. Carry out fill welding in the areas shown using the MIG welder
- Work in the lower area of the vehicle near the underdoor side member.
1. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.2. Carry out fill welding in the areas shown using the MIG welder
- Correct any distortions to the panel using a mallet and dolly block.- Use a disc grinder to level the welding.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously welded areas.- Apply rustproofing to the areas involved in the welding.- Seal the join lines between the replacement part and the vehicle.
