Removing ( Refitting )     Op. 7210E18 R.R. FRONT WING     Op. 7210E36 R.R. FRONT SIDE DOOR - Ensure that the components connected are not distorted by checking the body alignment measurements with suitable equipment (reference rigs, templates or gauges).- Straighten the body as necessary.
- Work in the lower area of the underdoor sidemember. 1. Cut the cover for the underdoor sidemember in the area shown in the diagram using a saw.
1. Cut the cover for the underdoor sidemember in the area shown in the diagram using a saw.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds.2. Use a chamfering machine on the spot welds shown in the diagram.3. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds, then remove the side member trim.
- Work in the lower area of the underdoor sidemember.- Use a rotary brush to remove the paint and gain access to the spot welds. 1. Use a chamfering machine on the spot welds shown in the diagram.2. Use the drill to chamfer the spot welds shown in the diagram.- Use a hammer and chisel to remove the previously chamfered spot welds.- Remove the metal offcuts.
- Straighten the edges of the vehicle using a hammer and dolly block.- Remove the spot weld residues using a disc grinder.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously treated areas. 1. Apply electro-weldable paint to the area shown in the diagram.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Cut the replacement part as illustrated in the diagram using a saw. 1. Drill out the part at the indicated points.
1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment from the areas shown using a rotary brush.- Apply electro-weldable paint to the edges involved.
- Position the replacement part correctly on the vehicle and secure it using self-locking clamps.- Check the alignment. 1. Use a MIG welder to seam weld in the areas shown in the diagram.2. Fill weld in the areas shown using the MIG welder.3. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.
- Work in the lower area of the underdoor sidemember. 1. Use a spot welder to weld the areas shown in the diagram.2. Fill weld in the areas shown using the MIG welder.
- Correct any distortions to the panel using a mallet and dolly block.- Use a disc grinder to level the welding.- Use a rotary brush to clean the previously welded areas.- Apply rustproofing to the areas involved in the welding.- Seal the join lines between the replacement part and the vehicle.    Op. 7210E18 R.R.
