323000091 - E2021 BRAKE LIGHTS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

Brake pedal switch I030 receives an ignition-operated power supply (INT) via the line coming from pin 14 of connector A of under-dashboard junction unit B002 (line protected by fuse F37 located inside B002).When the brake pedal is pressed, the switch closes and sends the N.O. contact closed signal to pin 15 of connector A of B002, through which it reaches Body Computer M001 (pin 2 of the coupling with B002).The Body Computer M001 controls the power supply for the brake lights in the light clusters F030 (left) - pin 4 of connector A - and F031 (right) - pin 2 of connector A - respectively from pins 44 and 31 of connector B of the Body Computer.Additional rear light cluster F040 is directly controlled, without any control logic, by brake pedal switch I030, passing through under-dashboard junction unit B002, pin 5 connector C.The Body Computer receives a power supply from the battery, via the line protected by fuse F1 located in the engine compartment junction unit B001. It also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) from the ignition switch H001. The reference earth reaches pins 10 and 19 of connector A of M001.Body Computer M001 is connected to instrument panel E050 via the CAN line to manage the lights failure warning light and the relative signals if problems are detected in the circuit or in the fuse.
