323000101 - E2030 FOG LIGHTS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The fog lights activation negative analogue signal reaches pin 35 of connector A of the Body Computer M001 from the control button in the left control panel H091 (pin 7).The signal is coded via a resistive divider in order to be able to use only one pin for the signal for the rear fog lamps and for the fog lights. The activation signal for the side lights reaches pin 2 of connector A of the Body Computer M001 from the steering column switch unit H005 (pin 3; pin 6 for versions with Cruise Control).    See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS The Body Computer receives a power supply from the battery, via the line protected by fuse F1 located in the engine compartment junction unit B001. It also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) from the ignition switch H001. The reference earth reaches pins 10 and 19 of connector A of M001.The Body Computer M001 (pin 11 of connector D) controls the supply for the fog lights sending an earth signal to relay T14 in the junction unit in the engine compartment B001.This signal energizes relay T14: it supplies the left fog light F015 and the right fog light F016 via the line protected by fuse F30 in B001.A positive activation signal is sent, from pin 14 of connector A of M001, for the LED in the fog lights control button in the left panel H091 (pin 9).The Body Computer M001 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E050 to manage the "fog lights on" warning light.
