Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R     Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R     Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.     Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R     Op. 5520C20 HEATER PLUGS CONTROL UNIT - R.R 1. Undo nut (1a) and disconnect electrical connection (1b) for the alternator.

	Description	Connector

2. Open protective cover (2a) and disconnect electrical connection (2b) for the starter motor.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the air conditioning compressor engagement solenoid.

	Description	Connector
1	Air conditioning compressor engagement solenoid	See L021 AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR ENGAGEMENT SOLENOID VALVE

1. Detach the rpm sensor electrical connection.

	Description	Connector

1. Detach the air temperature sensor electrical connection.

	Description	Connector
1	Engine coolant temperature sensor/sender unit	See K036 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR/SENDER UNIT

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the fuel pressure regulator on the pressure pump.

	Description	Connector
1	Fuel pressure regulator	See N077 FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR

2. Disconnect the electrical connection for the EGR solenoid.

	Description	Connector
2	EGR solenoid	See L030 EGR SOLENOID VALVE

1. Detach the fuel pressure sensor electrical connection.

	Description	Connector
1	Fuel pressure sensor	See K083 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR

2. Detach the excess pressure sensor electrical connection.

	Description	Connector
2	Turbocharging sensor	See K082 SUPERCHARGING SENSOR

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

	Description	Connector
1	Insufficient engine oil pressure sensor	See K030 ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR (SWITCH)

2. Disconnect the glow plug electrical connections.

	Description	Connector
2	Glow heater plugs	See A040 HEATER PLUGS

3. Disconnect the electrical connection for the injectors.

	Description	Connector
3	Injector	See N070 INJECTOR

4. Detach the timing sensor electrical connection.

	Description	Connector
4	Timing sensor	See K047 TIMING SENSOR

5. Undo the bolts, open the clips and move the wiring to the side. 1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the turbocharger vane adjustment actuator control solenoid.

1	Turbine variable geometry control solenoid	See L036 TURBINE VARIABLE GEOMETRY CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE

1. Disconnect the engine wiring coupling.

	Description	Connector
1	Engine cables/engine services cable coupling	See D029 ENGINE CABLES/ENGINE SERVICES CABLE COUPLING

2. Disconnect the electrical connection for the injection control unit.

	Description	Connector
2	Engine management control unit	See M010 ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU

- Release the cable loom from the air capacity chamber fastening bands and remove it. Refitting ( Removing ) - Place the cable loom in its housing and secure it using the bands.- Connect the electrical connection for the injection control unit.- Connect the engine wiring coupling.- Connect the electrical connection for the turbocharger vane adjustment actuator control solenoid.- Secure the electrical connection for the timing sensor.- Connect the electrical connection for the injectors.- Connect the glow plug electrical connections.- Connect the electrical connection for the engine oil pressure warning light switch.- Secure the electrical connection for the excess pressure sensor.- Connect the electrical connection for the fuel pressure sensor.- Connect the electrical connection for the EGR solenoid.- Connect the electrical connection for the fuel pressure regulator on the distribution manifold (rail).- Connect the electrical connection for the fuel pressure regulator on the pressure pump.- Attach the electrical connection for the water temperature sensor.- Secure the electrical connection for the rpm sensor.- Connect the electrical connection for the glow heater plugs control unit.- Connect the electrical connection for the air conditioning compressor.- Connect the electrical connection for the starter motor and close the protection.- Connect the electrical connection for the alternator.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.    Op. 5520C20 HEATER PLUGS CONTROL UNIT - R.R     Op. 1048A23 COLD AIR INTAKE FOR AIR FILTER - R.R     Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.     Op. 5530B52 BATTERY SUPPORT/DRIP TRAY - R.R     Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R
