A single negative earth signal is sent from the steering column switch unit H005 to the Body Computer M001 to manage both side lights and dipped beams: from pin 3 of H005 to pin 2 of connector A of M001; the signal is coded through various resistance partitions so that multiple information is sent from the steering column stalk unit to the Body Computer via a single connection. The reference earth reaches pin 10 of H005 from pin 9 of connector A of M001 via the dedicated line.On versions with Cruise Control, the dipped headlamps activation signal leaves pin 6 of H005, whilst the reference earth is supplied to pin 16.The Body Computer receives a power supply from the battery, via the line protected by fuse F1 located in the engine compartment junction unit B001. It also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) from the ignition switch H001. The reference earth reaches pins 10 and 19 of connector A of M001.The Body Computer M001 controls the power supply for the dipped headlamps sending an earth signal to relay T01 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002. This command energizes the relay coil. The contact closes as a result thereby allowing the power supply for the dipped headlamps F010 (left) and F011 (right). Each circuit is protected by a fuse in the junction unit B002: F13 for the left headlamp and F12 for the right. The Follow me home function is activated by a low beam flasher earth signal sent from stalk unit H005 (pin 2, pin 5 for versions with Cruise Control) to the Body Computer M001 (pin 4 of connector A).
