323000394 - E3080 HEADLIGHT ALIGNMENT ADJUSTMENT - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The light adjustment signals are produced by two buttons (+ and -) in the left control panel H091 (pin 3), coded by a resistive divider to produce a single analogue signal sent to pin 14 of the instrument panel node E050.The light adjustment devices inside the headlamps F010 (left) and F011 (right) (pin 6) receive a power supply from relay T01 in the junction unit under the dashboard B002 (pin 2 of connector A) along the line protected by fuse F13 of B002.The dipped headlights activation signal is supplied by the steering column switch unit H005 to the Body Computer M001 (pin 2 of connector A) which, in turn, controls relay T01 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002 via a dedicated negative signal.    See E2011 DIPPED HEADLAMPS The same dipped beams activated enablement signal reaches pin 8 of instrument panel E050 from pin 14 of connector F of B002.The headlights vertical adjustment signal (pin 9 of F010 and F011) is supplied from pin 7 of E050 after the commands given by the user via H091''s buttons. The Body Computer receives a power supply from the battery, via the line protected by fuse F1 located in the engine compartment junction unit B001. It also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) from the ignition switch H001. The reference earth reaches pins 10 and 19 of connector A of M001.
