323000770 - E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The Body Computer M001 is the operational centre of the system. The Body Computer receives a power supply from the battery, via the line protected by fuse F1 located in the engine compartment junction unit B001. It also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) from the ignition switch H001. The reference earth reaches pins 10 and 19 of connector A of M001.The nodes connected to Body Computer M001, from pins 44 and 45 of connector D (CAN-L and CAN-H), via the high speed C-CAN are:- the ABS/ESP control unit M050;- the engine management control unit M010;- the yaw sensor K074 (only present on versions with ESP);- the steering angle sensor K058 (only present on versions with ESP).A more detailed look at the C-CAN reveals:- from pins 44 and 45 of connector D of M001, with the steering angle sensor K058 (pins 2 and 4);- from pins 1 and 3 of K058, with the slewing sensor K074 (pins 3 and 5);- from pins 2 and 4 of K074, with the ABS/ESP control unit M050 (pins 15 and 27);- from pins 14 and 26 of M050 with the engine management control unit M010 (pins 40 and 64 of connector B for the 1.3 MJet versions; pins 36 and 52 of connector B for the 1.4 8v version; pins 88 and 89 of connector B for the 1.4 16v Tjet version). On versions with ABS only, pins 44 and 45 of connector D of M001 are connected directly to pins 15 and 27 of the ABS control unit M050.On versions without ABS/ESP (LOW trim level), pins 44 and 45 of connector D of M001 are connected directly to the engine management control unit M010 (except for the 1.4 16v Tjet version). The following nodes are connected to the M001 Body Computer via the low speed B-CAN:- climate control system control unit M070;- Air Bag control unit M060;- instrument panel E050;- Bluetooth control unit M162;- car radio P020;- parking sensor control unit M084.Pins 14 and 6 of connector C of M001, in other words the autodiagnostic connector, is also connected to the B-CAN. See E8010 DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR A more detailed look at the B-CAN reveals:- from pin 35 (CAN-A) and 36 (CAN-B) of connector D of M001, with the climate control system control unit M070 (pins 1 and 2);- from pin 5 (CAN-A) and 6 (CAN-B) of connector A of M001, with the Air Bag control unit M060 (pins 1 and 2 of connector A);- from pin 25 (CAN-A) and 24 (CAN-B) of connector A of M001, with the instrument panel E050 (pins 5 and 6);- from pins 10 (CAN-A) and 28 (CAN-B) of connector C of B002 (line going through pins 7 and 5 of the coupling with the Body Computer M001), with the parking sensor control unit M084 (pins 12 and 6 of connector A);- from pins 17 (CAN-A) and 15 (CAN-B) of connector E of B002, with the Bluetooth control unit M162 (pins 14 and 30) and with the radio P020 (pins A3 and A1 of connector A).On versions with optional radio preparation, there is no B-CAN for the radio. |
