323000818 - K081 AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT OFF (INITIAL TEST NOT CARRIED OUT)

The air bag warning light does not come on at start-up (it should come on for 4 seconds to indicate that the initial control unit test has been carried out, and then go off).
The warning lights take the form of LEDs built into the electronic circuit and are NOT therefore replaceable

Connect the diagnostic equipment (Examiner or other instruments) to the diagnostic socket.Check that the diagnostic equipment communicates properly with the air bag control unit and in particular check:- for faults in the Air Bag control unit;- the plausibility of all the parametersMove on to Step 21. No communication with the control unit2. Error detected in the control unit1. Restore:a) connection between the Air Bag control unit and diagnostic connector;b) Air Bag control unit power supply    See E7030 AIRBAG 2.
