323000928 - I006 MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS NOT WORKING

The main beam headlamps are not working in any conditions (either in the stable lever position or flasher position);

The main beam headlamps are controlled by the Body Computer Node via a relay located in the Engine Compartment Junction Unit;

The lights can be switched on/off using the following controls:1. Command from stalk in fixed position2. Command from the stalk in "flasher function" unstable position.

	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic socket and check for the presence of the following errors in the Body Computer Node.	Move on to Step 2	Errors present in the Body Computer Node.	Continue following the instructions given by the diagnostic equipment.
2	MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS RELAY CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the condition of the main beam headlamps relay (relay T4 in the engine compartment junction unit).	Move on to Step 3	Relay defective.	Replace the relay.
3	CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT CONTROL UNIT FUSES	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the correct operation of fuses F14 and F15 inside the engine compartment control unit.	Move on to Step 4	Fuses blown.	Replace the fuses after ascertaining the cause of the malfunction.
4	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Keeping the diagnostic equipment connected, check in active diagnosis that the main beam headlamps are working properly.	Move on to Step 7	Main beam headlamps not working.	Move on to Step 5
5	BODY COMPUTER CONNECTION CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check for deformed terminals or connections not present on the Body Computer.	Move on to Step 6	Missing connections/pins bent.	Renew the correct connections
6	CHECK ON OPERATION OF BULBS	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the main beam headlamp bulbs are working properly.	Move on to Step 9	Filament in one of the bulbs broken.	Replace bulb Op. 5540B22 BULB (ONE) FOR HEADLAMP/LIGHT CLUSTER LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.
7	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the continuity of the connections between the steering column switch unit and the Body Computer Node. See E2012 MAIN BEAM HEADLAMPS	Move on to Step 8	Connecting cables broken or not insulated.	Restore the correct electrical connection
