The car is fitted with numerous electronic control units that perform a self-diagnostic function. When a diagnostic tester (Examiner or other device) is connected to these control units, self-diagnosis data can be read (parameters, errors) or the available active diagnostic tests can be carried out.All the diagnostic lines flow into the EOBD (European On Board Diagnosis) connector in accordance with the latest European directives, centralized in the Body Computer (connector C).The same connector is responsible for the fault diagnosis of the nodes (control units) connected to the low transmission speed B-CAN, while the fault diganosis of the dynamic control high transmission speed C-CAN is carried out by means of a specific K line. The following are checked via the B-CAN line:- the instrument panel;- the radio;- the climate control system control unit;- the Air Bag control unit;- the parking sensor control unit;- the Bluetooth control unit; For more details See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES The following are monitored via individual diagnostic K lines:- the engine control unit and the robotized gearbox control unit, if present;- the ABS/ESP control unit.
