323001368 - S015 NOISE WHILST DRIVING

Whilst driving, especially on unmade roads, there is an unspecific noise.
This noise could be due to the engine assembly, the clutch-gearbox-differential unit or the braking system. In these cases the noise could also occur on even road surfaces or only in certain gears or certain conditions (gear engagement/release, braking, etc.)

Check that the noise is not due to the poor fastening of components or equipment.For example, check whether the noise could be caused by:- Objects housed in the dashboard or in the front doors.- Incorrect fastening of the front seat belts.Move on to Step 2.1. Noise due to objects in the various compartments.2. Seat belts incorrectly fastened.1. Fasten the objects better or wrap them in foam or a soft cloth to stop the noise.2. Check that the noise is not due to the poor fastening of components or equipment.For example, check whether the noise could be caused by:- Objects housed in the luggage compartment.- Spare wheel or tools (jack, etc.) incorrectly fastened.- Incorrect fastening of the rear parcel shelf.- Incorrect fastening of the tailgate.Move on to Step 3.1. Road test the vehicle to check the type of noise    See Test 70B ROAD TEST FOR NOISE RECOGNITION End of diagnosis.1. The noise is due to systems other than the suspension (power unit-clutch-gearbox-differential-brakes-steering).2. The noise is due to creaking of the interior/exterior dashboard components.3. The noise has not been isolated.1. Search for the causes carrying out the appropriate fault diagnosis.2. Restore the correct fastening of the loose component.3. Move on to Step 5.
