323001967 - 5530AB Check alternator operation
- Connect the Examiner in Voltmeter mode with the positive terminal to terminal D+ of the alternator and the negative earthed
- Activate all the lights, heated rear screen and all vehicle electrical loads
- Start the engine and adjust to 2000 rpm
- Check that the voltage measured at terminal D+ is at least 13 Volt
- If the voltage is below 5 Volt, the alternator is inefficient and should be replaced
