323002189 - 1060GH DIESEL PRESSURE CHECK

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
Turn the ignition key to the ON position. The measured diesel pressure must be greater than 200 barsMove on to Step 4
With the engine idling and warm, with all the appliances off and the accelerator pedal not operated, the target diesel pressure and the measured diesel pressure must be within a range between 230 and 270 bars.Move on to Step 4
When the accelerator pedal is operated several times, the measured diesel pressure must be greater than 250 barsThe test can be considered overMove on to Step 4
Position the ignition key on OFF. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel pressure sensor.Turn the ignition key ON.Measure the voltage across pin 3 (wiring side) of the sensor wiring connector    See K083 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR and earth. Ensure that it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 V.Move on to Step 5Move on to Step 5
If faults are present, repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and the fuel pressure sensor    See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The test can be considered overReplace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
Measure the voltage between pins 1 and 3 of the sensor wiring connector (wiring side)    See K083 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR Ensure that it is in a range of between 4.8 and 5.2 V.Move on to Step 5
Measure the voltage across pin 2 (wiring side) of the sensor wiring connector    See K083 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR and earth. Ensure that it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 VMove on to Step 5
Replace the pressure sensor    Op. 1060G28 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR ON FUEL MANIFOLD TO INJECTORS - R.R and check the fault has disappearedRepair the original pressure sensor and replace the engine management control unit    Op. 1060G80 DIESEL ELECTRONIC INJECTION CONTROL UNIT - R.R
