Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.    Op. 4450B12 FRONT WHEELS (TWO) - R+R     Op. 1008C32 GEARBOX LOWER REACTION ROD -R.R. 1. Undo the steering column fixing bolt (1a) and remove the joint (1b) for the power steering box.
1. Undo the nut (1a) for the collar securing the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter and release the two flexible mountings (1b). Release the exhaust pipe (1c) moving it away to the left and leave it resting on the rear axle, connect the front part of the exhaust pipe to the axle arm.
- Raise the vehicle.1. Undo the nut fixing the steering link to the left steering knuckle.2. Fit the tool and disconnect the steering rod from the left steering knuckle.

3. Remove the power steering box rod from the steering knuckle.- Carry out the same operations for the right steering rod.
- Lower the vehicle.1. Drain the power steering fluid reservoir using the special syringe.2. Undo the connector on the power assisted steering box (2a).3. Undo the bolt-connector (3a) on the power steering box (3b).4. Release the supply and return pipe from the retainers (4a).
- Raise the vehicle.- Prepare the equipment for removing-refitting the front suspension crossmember as described below.1. Fit the support (1a) on the column lift (1b).

2. Fit the frame (2a) complete with adaptors (2b).

The adapators (2b) supplied are burnished black with M12 threads for fitting on the frame.
1. Fit the safety pins.2. Undo the bolts securing the anti-roll bar to the crossmember and remove it.3. Undo the two bolts fixing the power steering box to the front suspension crossmember.- Release the two flexible pipes for the gearbox control from the clip on the power steering box.- Position the hydraulic column lift so that the engine can be moved; raise the engine until there is sufficient space for the power steering box.- Release the power steering box from its housing.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Position the power steering box in its housing and secure it to the suspension crossmember by tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Fasten the front suspension crossmember to the body tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Attach the exhaust pipe to the temporary fastening, connect it to the catalytic converter flange complete with gasket and tighten the nuts to the recommended torque.
