The robotized gearbox control unit M054 controls and regulates the entire gearbox management systemThe direct battery power supply for the control unit arrives via a line protected by fuse F18 of the engine compartment junction unit B001 at pin 3 of connector A of M054 .The power supply for the robotized gearbox electric pump, on the other hand, reaches pin 5 of connector A of M054 along the line protected by fuse F9 of B001.The ignition-controlled supply (15/54) protected by fuse F16 of B001 reaches pin 10 of connector A of M054. The same power supply is supplied to the gear selector unit H037 (pin 6) and to the vehicle starting enablement relay T20 in the engine compartment junction unit B001 (pin 17 of connector A).A group of sensors on the gearbox inform the control unit of the gear engaged. The potentiometers receive a power supply from pin 4 of connector B of M054; pin 6 of the same connector provides the reference earth: the gear selection potentiometer K068 and the gear engagement potentiometer K069 provide the signal for pins 5 and 12 respectively of connector B.The clutch position potentiometer K095, on the other hand, receives a power supply from pin 11 of connector B of M054 and a reference earth from pin 9 of the same connector, providing the signal for pin 10 of connector B of the control unit.Pins 3 and 8 of connector A M054 are connected to the vehicle speed sensor (gearbox input) K078 .Gear control unit H037 is connected to control unit M054 to indicate the gear engagement request: these signals are sent to pins 12, 11, 7, 16 of connector A of M054; connector A receives the reference earth from pin 13.The button for selecting the ECO operating mode, located in the centre control panel in the dashboard H090 (pin 10) is connected with the control unit M054 at pin 17 of connector A. Pin 5 of H090 is earthed via line passing through the Body Computer M001.Pin 9 of connector A of M054 receives the signal coming from the N.A. contact of brake pedal switch I030, supplied by fuse F37 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002.The robotized gearbox control unit M054 receives the vehicle starting request signal, at pin 1 of connector A, from the ignition switch H001 (50, starting position) and, if the conditions described previously are met, the control unit M054 enables the starting of the vehicle, by means of a dedicated aerth signal from pin 8 of connector A, energizing relay T20 of B001 (pin 14 of connector A). See E5010 STARTING AND RECHARING Control unit M054 also receives the doors open signal: the driver''s front door opening signal - integrated in the geared motor N050 - reaches pin 11 of connector B of the Body Computer M001, which forwards it, from pin 21 of connector D, to the control unit M054 (pin 2 of connector A).On the basis of the operating logic the control unit controls the electro-hydraulic unit located in the gearbox which produces the gear changes: the electric pump N047 which keeps the oil in the hydraulic unit pressurized is controlled from pin 1 of connector B.The control unit then controls the opening of the hydraulic unit solenoid valves, connected by dedicated internal wiring. The control unit M054 provides the reverse gear engaged signal from pin 4 of connector A (gear lever in position R). See E2022 REVERSING LIGHTS The autodiagnostic data can be read by connecting to connector C of the Body Computer M001: it receives signals from pin 21 of connector A of control unit M054 via the dedicated K line. See E8010 DIAGNOSTIC MULTIPLE CONNECTOR Signals are sent, via the CAN - pins 19-22 and 20-23 of connector A of M054, for the gearbox failure and general failure warning light located in the instrument panel E50 and for the gear indication display as well as the buzzer.
