) - Disconnect the negative battery terminal.1. Disconnect the front rapid connector for the front fuel supply pipe from the fuel filter.2. Disconnect the rear rapid connector for the supply pipe to the pressure pump from the fuel filter.3. Undo the bolt (3a) and remove the collar (3b).4. Disconnect the electrical connection for the water presence-fuel temperature sensor (4a) and remove the filter element (4b) complete with sensor.

6. Unscrew and remove water presence-fuel temperature sensor (5a) from the filter element (4b).

Refitting ( Removing

) - Screw in the water presence-temperature sensor until it is in the end of travel position against the cartridge and tighten to the recommended torque.

Tightening to torque outside of the recommended values may adversely affect the seal of the sensor.

- Connect the electrical connection to the water presence-fuel temperature sensor.- Fit the filter on the bracket taking care to position the bleed tap inside the special housing on the bracket.- Close the bracket using the collar and secure it using the bolt.- Connect the fuel inlet and outlet pipes to the connectors on the filter.- Start up the engine and check that there is no fuel leaking from the filter at the top part and in the area of the water presence-temperature sensor.- Connect the negative battery terminal (-).
