Check that the resistance of the actuator is 7.8 ±0.3 Ohm at 20°C.
Egr power supply check
- Connect using the Examiner in Voltmeter mode to the positive probe at pin 1 of the EGR and the negative probe earthed.- With the ignition on, check that the voltage measured is 12 Volts.
Egr control signal check
- Connect using the Examiner in Voltmeter mode to the positive probe at terminal 1 of the EGR and the negative probe at terminal 5.With the engine running, check for the presence of a variable frequency PWM signal depending on whether the EGR valve is open or closed.To switch from the EGR valve closed condition to the EGR valve open condition, press the accelerator pedal gently and release it to return to the idle condition.
