323002191 - 1064BA TURBOCHARGING PRESSURE CHECK

Let the engine warm up.Using the diagnostic equipment in the parameters ambient, check that the temperature of the air is between 30 and 60°C.Check that the temperature of the diesel is not too high as a result of a damaged diesel cooling coil because this would have a great effect on the engine performance.Switch the air conditioning off.Install fitting 1870752000 between the turbocharging sensor and the intake chamber.Connect the pressure transducer to the tool.Position the diagnostic equipment in the passenger compartment and make the connections.Select "pressure gauge" on the diagnostic equipment and prepare for the acquisition of data in "intake pressure" mode with a 2000 mmHg full scale deflection and select a time of 10 seconds.Let the engine warm up.Road test the vehicle (observing the speed limits in force) and perform the following test:- On a motorway route, allow the vehicle to reach 2500 rpm in 4th gear.- Initiate graphic acquistion by pressing start on the diagnostic equipment and 2 seconds later fully depress the accelerator pedal until the engine speed is 3500 rpm.- Once this speed is reached completely release the accelerator pedal.- Display the resulting graph and in the pressure constant section, with the exception of the initial peak, the reading should be 1900 -2080 mbar (1444 -1581 mmHg) corresponding to a supercharging value of 900 -1080 mbar.- On a motorway route with fast-moving traffic, let the vehicle reach 2500 rpm in 3rd gear.- Initiate graphic acquistion by pressing start on the diagnostic equipment and 2 seconds later fully depress the accelerator pedal until the engine speed is 3500 rpm.- Once this speed is reached completely release the accelerator pedal.- Display the resulting graph and in the pressure constant section, with the exception of the initial peak, the reading should be 1900 -2080 mbar (1444 -1581 mmHg) corresponding to a supercharging value of 900 -1080 mbar.
