323002510 - 2125C32 GEARBOX HAND CONTROL LEVER MOUNTING - R.R.

Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Position the gear lever in neutral.- Open the upper gear lever boot closure.1. Undo the nut (1a) and separate the silencer (1b) from the exhaust pipe, then release the exhaust pipe from the support (1c).2. Secure the exhaust pipe to the bodyshell appropriately. 1. Adjust the clips (1a) and remove the cover (1b) from the gearbox hand lever support. 1. Disconnect the cables (1a), compress the clips (1b) and remove the gear selection and engagement cables (1c) from the gearbox hand lever support.2. Undo the bolts and remove the gearbox hand lever mount. - Use appropriate protection and pliers to unscrew and remove the gear lever grip. Refitting ( Removing ) - Refit the gear lever grip in its housing.- Working in the engine compartment, introduce the two quick-fits for the hoses in the openings in the bracket keeping the cursors retracted and inserting them fully into the seats using manual pressure until they are attached. Release the cursors.- Using manual pressure, connect the ends of the gear selection and engagement cables to the ball joints for the levers on the gearbox.- Fit the manual gearbox control lever support and secure it using the bolts.- Fit the cover and secure it using the clips.- Release the exhaust pipe from the provisional fastening and connect it to the catalytic converter flange and to the mounting bracket.- Close the gear lever boot at the top.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
