DESCRIPTION

The vehicle may be equipped with a manually operated climate control system.The system has the function of producing cold, dehumidified air, achieved by switching on the compressor and the cooling system. The system, together with the heater, guarantees good climate control in the passenger compartment.The system is controlled by means of three control knobs in the dashboard:- the left knob regulates the temperature of the air mixing hot and cold air by means of mechanical controls;- the middle knob activates the fan and adjusts the speed (up to four speed levels can be selected);- the right knob manages the distribution of the air by opening the flaps that regulate the distribution of the air flows by means of mechanical controls.The climate control is turned on when the middle knob is pressed. The fact that it is turned on is signalled by a special LED in the actual knob coming on. To deactivate the climate control, press the knob again and the fact that it has been turned off is signalled by the LED going out.There is a cursor above the knobs which has the task of turning the air recirculation on or off.There is a control on the centre control unit for defrosting the heated rear windscreen and the external mirrors.    See E3030 DEFROSTING REARSCREEN AND REAR VIEW MIRRORS
