The car is equipped with numerous light sources for optimal lighting of interior instruments and controls.Some of these controls are lit with the ignition key ON (INT), others with the side lights on, others can be dimmed in accordance with an adjustment strategy managed by the Body Computer and instrument panel.With the side lights on, the Body Computer manages the lighting of:- cigar lighter;- front courtesy light controls backlighting;- radio display (aftermarket version only);- heater / manual air conditioner controls backlighting.The Body Computer manages the exterior lights activation information and transmits it over the CAN.The adjustment by pressing the Mode+ and Mode- buttons in the left control panel makes it possible to set the brightness level for the instrument panel and the other controls and display in the vehicle (radio and climate control, where present). The adjustment is only possible when the standard control panel display screen is activated.The brightness cannot be turned down to zero and the instrument panel warning lights cannot be adjusted.The dimming value is transmitted by the instrument panel via the CAN to allow the brightness value to be sent to the other control units.For more details, See descriptions 5560 INSTRUMENTS The lighting for all the other controls is simply ignition-controlled (INT) and the individual lines are protected by a fuse located in the junction unit under the dashboard.
