323000800 - K043 DISPLAY DOES NOT SHOW AVERAGE CONSUMPTION ON TRIP MODULE

With the ignition key to MAR, the fuel consumption gauge in the display (one of the TRIP COMPUTER module displays) is not working.
The display provides two types of fuel consumption reading, instantaneous or average. Consumption is processed by the Instrument Panel Node on the basis of the information received from the Body Computer Node (distance) and from the Engine Management Node (litres consumed), made available to the Instrument Panel Node via the B-CAN and C-CAN respectively. If there is no speed information (from the Brake Node) or no instant fuel consumption information (from the Engine Management Node) the consumption data will be replaced by "----"
TEST RESULTS
0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEM DETECTEDACTION
Interview the customer to check that the TRIP function has not been recently resetMove on to Step 1One of the TRIP COMPUTER functions has been resetThe display reading will be "----" until sufficient distance has been covered to allow fuel consumption to be evaluated: if the value is not displayed after a few miles, continue to Step 1
1CAN CHECKSALL OKPROBLEM DETECTEDACTION
Connect an EXAMINER and check the following on CAN NETWORK INFORMATION:- No control units inactive- No faulty control units- No control units with faulty CAN lineMove on to Step 21. Fault on CAN network2. Communication with the Body Computer impossible1. Continue following the instructions given by the diagnostic equipment2. Move on to Step 9
2CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEM DETECTEDACTION
Keeping the diagnostic instrument connected, check the following on the BRAKE NODE:- that there are no system/component errors- that there are no CAN faultsMove on to Step 31. System/components faulty2. Fault on C-CAN network1. Continue following the instructions given by the diagnostic equipment2. Move on to Step 11
