323002822 - E5060 CRUISE CONTROL - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The function is managed by the engine management control unit M010.The commands come from the steering column switch unit H005 supplied at pin 2 by the ignition-controlled line (INT) and protected by fuse F51 in the junction unit under the dashboard B002.The cruise control activation command (ON/OFF) reaches pin 85 of connector B of M010 from pin 1 of H005.The cruise control resume command reaches pin 61 of connector B of M010 from pin 3 of H005.Lastly, the signals for the Up and Down commands (+ and -) relating to the upwards or downwards movement of the steering column switch unit lever reach pins 84 and 86 of connector B of M010 from pins 10 and 11 respectively of H005.The engine management control unit M010 (pins 88 and 89 of connector B) sends signals, via the C-CAN, of the warning light to the Body Computer M001 (pins 44 and 45 of connector D) which, in turn, sends them, via the B-CAN (pins 25 and 24 of connector A of M001) to the instrument panel E050 (pins 5 and 6).    See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES The Body Computer receives a power supply from the battery, via the line protected by fuse F1 located in the engine compartment junction unit B001. It also receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) from the ignition switch H001. The reference earth reaches pins 10 and 19 of connector A of M001.In order to manage the function the engine management control unit M010 also requires the signals coming from the normally closed contact on the brake pedal and the clutch pedal pressed signal (to pins 82 and 63 of connector B respectively).    See E5030 PETROL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT
