Removing ( Refitting )
Follow the recommended safety instructions.    Op. 5040 AIR CONDITIONING CASING AND COMPONENTS
- Position the vehicle on a lift.    Op. 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER     Op. 0010T84 COOLANT FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - DEHYDRATE AND REPRESSURIZE     Op. 1048A10 AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY - R.R.     Op. 5040B20 AIR CONDITIONING LINEAR PRESSURE TRANSDUCER - R.R. 1. Undo the bolt and disconnect the pipes from the expansion valve.
Seal the connectors that have been disconnected using suitable plugs to prevent dampness and impurities from entering the system.
2. Release the pipe from the fastenings.
1. Undo the bolt and disconnect the pipes from the condenser.
Seal the connectors that have been disconnected using suitable plugs to prevent dampness and impurities from entering the system.
- Undo the nut securing the pipe to the strut.2. Remove the pipe.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Check that the pipe from the expansion valve to the condenser is undamaged and is not affected by cracks that affect the seal.
Replace the O-rings on the connectors. Only use green coloured seals that are resistant to R134a coolant.Lubricate the connector threads using anti-freeze.
- Place the pipe from the expansion valve to the condenser in position.- Connect the pipe retaining bands and tighten the nut secured to the strut.- Connect the pipes to the expansion valve and to the condenser and tighten the bolts to the recommended torque.
