323001971 - 5505AH CHECK ON POWER SUPPLY TO THE PARKING SENSOR CONTROL UNIT

STEPCHECK TO BE PERFORMEDREMEDIAL ACTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1POWER SUPPLY CHECK (+15)- With the ignition on, check for the presence of the battery voltage between pin 1 of the 12-way connector for the control unit and earth. - Check that the connector is correctly fitted. - Try and remove it from its seat using small movements in all directions, gripping the body of the connector with your fingers and the wiring with your hand. The connector should remain in place. Exert reasonable force when pulling it. The connector should remain in place. - Check whether the power supply is deactivated, activated and/or viceversa (touching/not touching). - Pull the cable and check the stability (no retraction): exercise repeated pull-push-pull cycles on the cable and check it remains immobile.CRIMPING EXAMINATION:Use a lens to examine the terminal crimping area. The barrels must be turned symmetrically and no strands should emerge from the crimped area. The bare wire section under the barrels must emerge by about 0.5.- If blown, replace fuse F51 in the facia control unit after identifying the cause    See E3090 PARKING SENSOR - Restore the wiring between the dashboard control unit and parking sensor node.
2EARTH CHECKDisconnect the 12-way connector and connect an ohmmeter across pin 7 and earth to check the resistance is less than 1 ohmRestore the correct earth connection.
