Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Release flexible mountings from the exhaust pipe and support it appropriately.1. Undo bolts (1a) and toothed clips (1b) and remove front heat shield (2c).

Lower the heat shield carefully as the four centre bolts also secure the gear lever mounting.

Refitting ( Removing ) - Place the front heat shield in position and secure it using the bolts to the body and to the gearbox manual control lever support.- Screw in the toothed clips securing the front heat shield to the body.- Attach the exhaust pipe flexible mountings.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
