78960 - 4450A40 REAR WHEEL GEOMETRY - Check using optical equipment - Includes rear wheel toe-in adjustment if necessary

- Position the vehicle on a test bench, with sliding plates on all the wheels.- Place the vehicle in standard "A" conditions (with spare wheel, tool kit, all supplies and a full fuel tank).- Check that the tyre inflation pressure is correct.- GEOMETRY CHECK 1. Check that the rear wheel geometry (D-C) is correct.

-Standard A-
- CAMBER CHECK Check that the rear wheel camber corresponds to the recommended figures.
SubjectValue
.Rear wheel camber-
---13' ± 20'
-Standard A-
- If the rear wheel camber value is not within the recommended figures, adjust it following the instructions given below.- Check the side of the vehicle to be adjusted using a suitable tool for measuring the camber.- RIGHT SIDE CAMBER ADJUSTMENT- Drain the fuel tank using suitable equipment.- Place a load equivalent to the weight of a full fuel tank in the luggage compartment to reproduce Standard "A" load conditions- Disconnect the fuel filler pipe from the tank and seal the tank using a suitable plug to prevent fuel vapours from escaping.1. Loosen the camber rod upper nut.2. Working on the screw, adjust the camber until the reading on the instrument is correct (see tables above).
- Move the right dust shield (1a) away as necessary to allow the positioning of the torque wrench (1b), then tighten the upper camber rod (1c) fixing nut to torque.
