841004203 - E3050 FRONT ELECTRIC WINDOWS DESCRIPTION
Description
The front electric window can be activated only with key-on (INT) except when the windows are closed/opened centrally via remote control and during the timed period with key off.Operation of the front windows with key off (STOP) must be possible only in manual mode unless one of the doors is opened (when all movements are deactivated) and in any case within the timed period calculated and managed by the Body Computer. This applies during the first few minutes following transition from Key-on (INT) to key-off (STOP).During start-up (INT/A), the device is temporarily cut off. The driver and passenger side motors are thus controlled in both manual and automatic mode in accordance with the following strategy:
Movements of the driver side window are managed by the relevant door control unit in accordance with local commands.
if the length of time for which the control key is pressed is between 50 and 300 milliseconds, operation is manual. the glass goes up/down only with the key pressed;
f the key is pressed for longer than 300 milliseconds, operation is automatic: the window continues to go up/down until it reaches the end of its travel or the control key is pressed again;
if the key is pressed for less than 50 milliseconds, this is ignored (it is treated as an accidental knock).
Passenger side window movement is managed by the relevant door control unit on the basis of local commands or commands received via the CAN network via the driver''s side door control unit:
management of manual or automatic operation (up/down) of the passenger side window from the driver''s side controls is similar to that of the driver''s window;
the window can be raised using the local control only in manual mode;
descending operation is controlled locally in accordance with the following strategy: when the control is pressed for a period from 50 to 300 milliseconds, operation is manual. Movement is automatic when the pressure exceeds 300 milliseconds.
Inputs on both control units receive information from their own doors. These indicate the presence of a possible obstacle in the way of the rising windows (antipinch function).This occurs in both manual and automatic mode.If this happens, the relevant control unit must immediately interrupt the glass travel and then reverse the direction for 300 ms. If the antipinch protection is activated, the node that manages window movement receives a signal indicating that the seal has been compressed by means of a resistive sensor fitted into a coating applied to the upper driver or passenger window seal.If the instrument panel receives one or more fault messages from the window antipinch seal coatings via the CAN network, it displays the relevant message on the matrix display.The window central locking function (also applicable to the sun-roof) can be activated by means of specific signals sent to the Body Computer: See E3060 SUN ROOF
by the climate control sstem control unit that detects the presence of exhaust gas by means of a special sensor (with key-on); See E3020 WINDSCREEN WASH/WIPE
pressing the remote control key or door handle pawl for a few seconds until the end of the manoevre (with key off) See E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING
using a signal from the rain and dusk sensor
the window central opening function is activated solely from the remote control under conditions of key-off (STOP).
