358493 - I64 ONE HEADLAMP REMAINS IMMOBILE IN ANY POSITION

The alignment of the headlamps is corrected automatically and continuously by a Headlamp Alignment Corrector (C.A.F.) control unit;the correction of the headlamp alignment is activated by switching the dipped headlamps on;the C.A.F. control unit has an autodiagnostic function and, if there are errors in the various components, it controls the warning light (matrix message) in the Instrument Panel Node.

1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT.ALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic socket and check the following at the Headlamp Alignment Corrector control unit:

  • that there are no faults

Remove the headlamp from its housing, dismantle it at the bench and check the condition of the motor and the headlamp internal mechanical connectionsMove on to Step Motor or mechanical connections damagedReplace the headlamp or the motor     See in Op. 5540C40 MOTOR (one), left or right for correcting/aligning gas discharge light CLUSTERS - R.R.
4CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION. ALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
