the demisting function for the external rear view mirrors is controlled by the Driver's Door Node and the Passenger Door Node by the command coming from the Climate Node.The information concerning the timed demisting activation is made available by the Body Computer Node for the Door Nodes on the request of the Climate Node via the B-CAN.

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connect and check the following at the Passenger Door Node:In errors ambient

  • that there are no faults

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connector and carry out the demisting test and check the following using a multimeter at the Passenger Door Node in active diagnosis ambient:the presence of an earth and positive power suply (Wiring Diagram ) E3032 EXTERIOR MIRRORS ADJUSTMENT Move on to Step 1. Remove the Passenger Door Node and check the continuity between the demister terminals and the Passenger Door Node (Wiring Diagram ) E3032 EXTERIOR MIRRORS ADJUSTMENT Move on to Step Electrical connection interruptedMove on to Step

Remove the door panel and check:

  • the continuity/insulation between the demister terminals and the rear view mirror connector
  • the continuity/insulation between the rear view mirror connector and the Door Node (Wiring Diagram ) E3032 EXTERIOR MIRRORS ADJUSTMENT
