The vehicle tends to drift to the left and/or the right whilst braking.
STEPOPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUTTEST RESULTS
0CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Connect the diagnostic test equipment (Examiner or other instruments) to the Body Computer.Check the following at the CAN:

  • that there are no faulty control units;
  • no control unit with faulty CAN line;
Move on to Step Presence of errorsContinue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
1OIL LEAKS CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that there are no oil leaks from:

  • calipers;
  • master cylinder - braking circuit
Move on to Step 1. Oil leak from one front caliper1. Replace the faulty caliper    See in Op. 3310A30 FRONT BRAKE CALIPER (one) - R.R. - Includes bleeding air
2. Oil leak from one rear caliper2. Replace the faulty caliper    See in Op. 3310B36 REAR BRAKE CALIPER (one), left or right - R.R.
2BRAKE WEAR CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check the brakes for wear and the condition of the braking surfacesMove on to Step 1. Brakes very worn1. Overhaul the brakes
2. Discs vitrified or with traces of grease2. Clean and check the causes
3CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Test the vehicle before returning it to the customer, checking that the problem no longer exists.
The test is essential because the braking system is one of the vehicle's safety systems.
