Description

The vehicle is equipped with a radio phone, whose GSM module and SIM CARD reader is incorporated in the integrated radio-telephone-navigator system, in other words the info-telematic node, which is responsible for the cell phone voice and data functions and medical and mechanical assistance emergency calls.The integrated radio-telephone-navigator system is a CAN node through which information is exchanged with the Body Computer and other electronic control units fitted on the vehicle.The system includes:

  • GSM module and SIM CARD reader incorporated in the radio-telephone-navigator;
  • microphone located in the front courtesy light (roof node);
  • GPS/GSM exterior aerial;
  • controls on the steering wheel;
  • telephone handset;
The telephone data is shown both on the info-telematic node display and on the display in the instrument panel.The interface with the driver consists of a conventional telephone keypad and buttons for emergency call.s A voice recognition function, which acquires the telephone commands via the microphone and interprets them, sending them to the actual telephone (activation and deactivation of the call and number selection) is available.There is also provision for the repetition of the telephone controls on the steering wheel, through which the driver is able to:

  • Accept a call or choose not to take it;
  • Select a number from those in the telephone memory;
  • Select a network from the ones available;
  • Manage the info-telematic control unit menu'' directly from the steering wheel.
The following controls are present on the steering wheel:

  • Tel control (identified by the telephone symbol with upward and downward arrows): this control is used to answer an incoming call (by pressing it briefly) or decline to take the call (pressing it for longer). By pressing it once only, the instrument panel display shows the last calls made and the telephone list memorized. Pressing it twice, on the other hand, dials the last call made
  • Func / Mode control: this makes it possible to show the telephone menu'' on the info-telematic control unit display;
  • Up / Down control: this scans the telephone menu'';
  • Scan + / - control: this makes it possible to scan the instrument panel display screen showing the list of calls made and the general phone list.
  • VOICE control: this implements the voice recognition function (by pressing it briefly) and makes it possible to listen to, record or cancel a message (by pressing it for longer).
By lifting the armrest it is possible to access the actual phone handset, installed on the tunnel.The system operates on a supply either not controlled by the ignition (+30) or controlled by the ignition (+15)
