841006808 - E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION (Passive Entry )

Operational Description

The central locking function is managed by the body computer M001 which receives a supply controlled by the ignition and a direct supply at pin 11 of connector H and at pin A of connector B of the junction unit under the dashboard B002, respectively. The body computer M001 manages the central locking function via the B-CAN through the Passive Entry control unit M063, the driver''s door control unit M066 and the passenger door control unit M067 and receives the following inputs:

  • the locking/unlocking signals from the switches at pins 8 and 16 of connector F for the driver''s front and rear doors, respectively
  • the locking/unlocking signals from the switches at pins 25 and 26 of connector G for the passenger front and rear doors, respectively
The luggage compartment control unit M063 receives input signals for the motors and the locking/unlocking switches N055 and N056 in the rear doors at pins:

  • 1 and 2 of connector B, respectively, for the positive command to engage the dead-lock function and the command for the opening/release function for the left rear door dead-lock
  • 1 and 2 of connector A, respectively, for the positive command to engage the dead-lock function and the command for the opening/release function for the right rear door dead-lock
  • 3 and 4 of connector B, respectively, for the positive command for the secure engagement of the dead-lock function and the command for the secure release of the dead-lock function for the left rear door
  • 5 and 6 of connector A, respectively, for the positive command for the reealse of the dead-lock function and the enagement of the safety lock for the right rear door
  • 15 and 19 of connector D, respectively for the negative signals from the remote control switch signalling the locking and unlocking of the left rear door
  • 19 and 20 of connector E, respectively for the negative signals from the remote control switch signalling the locking and unlocking of the right rear door
The control units for the driver''s door M066 and the passenger door M067 receive input signals for the motors and the switches located on the front doors at pins:

  • 4 and 10 of connector B, respectively, for the positive command to open and release the dead-lock function and the positive command for the dead-lock function engagement motor
  • 5 and 6 of connector B, respectively, for the positive command for the engagement of the safety lock and the positive command to release the safety lock and the dead-lock function
  • 2 connector A and 35 connector C, respectively for the negative signals from the release and locking signalling switch.
The locking/unlocking switches on the rear doors I028 and I029 send signals to the luggage compartment control unit M063 at pins:

  • 20 and 10 of connector D, respectively for the negative signals for the locking and unlocking of the left rear door
  • 29 and 30 of connector G, respectively for the negative signals for the locking and unlocking of the right rear door
The locking/unlocking switches in the front doors I026 and I027 send signals to the control units for the driver''s door M066 and the passenger door M067 at pins:

  • 1, 8 and 20 of connector, respectively for the negative unlocking, locking and protected reference signals according to the status of the door
  • 29 connector C for the door locking/unlocking command dimmed supply.
Once the central locking has received the command, the body computer M001 sends the signal, via the B-CAN, which is acquired by the driver''s door cotnrol unit M066 and the passenger door cotrol unit M067 and the signalling is activated until the next message is received. The various signals (locking, unlocking, alarm on, etc.) for the status of the doors are displayed via the two-tone LEDs E036 and E037 for the front doors and E038 and E039 for the rear doors. The flashing modes (blink codes) are managed by the driver''s door control unit M066 and the passenger door control unit M067.The body computer M001 receives the speedometer signal, at pin 7 of connector A, from the braking system control unit M051, for the automatic locking of all the doors and the boot when the speed of the vehicle exceeds 20 Km/h. When the speed returns below 20 Km/h, the doors and the boot remain locked. This function can be activated via the instrument panel E050 or the info-telematic control unit display M064.The body computer acquires the CID recognition signal, which is transmitted from the aerial P015, via the Passive Entry control unit M064 through the B-CAN.It is possible, using the instrument panel display to set the various functions to make the front driver''s door and the boot independent. The doors open information is also displayed.
