L34 ADDITIONAL HEATER IS DEACTIVATED AFTER IT HAS BEEN WORKING FOR A SHORT TIME - Lancia - THESIS - eLearn

After the additional heater has come on normally and been working for a short time it switches off

Depending on the operating logic, the additional heater switches off when the coolant temperature exceeds 70 C°.

	Connect the diagnostic equipment (Examiner or other instruments) to the diagnostic socket and check: no faults in the supplementary heater control unit parameter plausibility	Move on to Step	1. Parameters not plausible	1. Continue following the instructions in the diagnostic table
			2. Presence of faults	2. Continue following the instructions in the diagnostic table
			3. Boiler overheating error	Move on to Step
2	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Keeping the tester (Examiner or other instrument) connected to the tester input, activate the heater coolant circulation pump in active diagnosis mode and check: operation of the coolant circulation system	Move on to Step	1. Pipes leaky, broken or blocked	1. Restore operation and change pipes if necessary See in Op. 5020M50 ADDITIONAL INDEPENDENT HEATER WATER SUPPLY AND RETURN PIPES - R.R.
		Move on to Step	2. Air in the pipes	2. Bleed the cooling circuit
