358442 - I12 LEFT OR RIGHT DIRECTION INDICATOR NOT WORKING

The direction indicators on either the left or the right are not working;

The direction indicators are controlled and diagnosed (lights check function) directly by the Body Computer Node.If there is a fault with the direction indicators confirmed by the Body Computer Node, the fault is displayed on the matrix that can be reconfigured.

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Connect the diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic socket and check the following at the Body Computer Node: that there are no faults at the direction indicators the plausibility of the direction indicators on/off parameter check the operation of the direction indicator bulbs through active diagnosis	Move on to Step	1. Direction indicators faulty	1. Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
			2. Parameter does not change status	Move on to Step
			3. The bulbs do not come on	Move on to Step
2	STEERING COLUMN SWITCH UNIT OPERATION CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the continuity of the connections inside the steering column switch unit in the left or right direction indicators position (Wiring Diagram ) E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS/HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS	Move on to Step	Steering column switch unit faulty.	Replace the steering column switch unit    See in Op. 5550A12 complete stalk unit - r+r for versions with air bag
3	ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK.	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the continuity of the wiring between the steering column switch unit and the Body Computer Node. (Wiring Diagram ) E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS/HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS	Move on to Step	Wiring broken	Restore the electrical connections. (Wiring Diagram ) E2020 DIRECTION INDICATORS/HAZARD WARNING LIGHTS
