The vehicle should be in the following condition before the operation: windscreen and rearscreen removed, roof detached.

Removing ( Refitting ) - Check whether the components connected are distorted through the bodyshell alignment measurements using suitable test equipment (test benches, templates or jigs).- Carry out any straightening operations to the bodyshell before cutting the component.1. Remove the spot welds shown using a chamfering machine.2. Detach the crossmember and remove it. Refitting ( Removing ) - Straighten the edges of the panel involved and grind the entire surface of the bodyshell involved, applying electro-galvanizing paint to the treated areas.1. Remove the anti-corrosion treatment using a rotary brush from the entire inner (1a) and outer (1b) perimeter of the replacement part and apply electro-galvanizing paint. 1. Position the crossmember and secure it using self-locking clamps.- Spot weld along the perimeter in contact with the bodyshell. - Check that the welded component is correctly positioned.- Level the spot welds using a disc grinder.- Clean the inner parts using a rotary brush.- Apply electro-galvanizing paint to the parts ground.

When the operation is completed, refit the elements removed previously.
