Loosen the engine oil sump drain plug
- After having completely drained the engine oil, replace the plug gasket and retighten it to torque.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) fixing the mounting bracket (1b) for the front section of the exhaust pipe.
1. Undo the bolts fixing the front section of the exhaust pipe to the catalytic pre-converter.
1. Remove the two flexible mountings for the front section of the exhaust pipe from the fastening pins.2. Undo the catalytic converter fixing bolts.3. Remove the front section of the exhaust pipe.- Keep the gaskets for the front section of the exhaust pipe.
1. Undo the retaining nuts.2. Remove the metal protection.3. Disconnect the turbocharger sump oil return pipe from the oil sump.
1. Disconnect the sump oil vapour return pipe from the separator.2. Disconnect the electrical connection for the sump engine oil level sensor.

3. Undo the bolts fixing the power unit/intermediate shaft rear support to the engine oil sump.4. Undo the two bolts securing the oil sump to the gearbox.
1. Undo the lower bolt securing the engine oil dipstick tube.- Lower the vehicle.2. Undo the upper retaining bolt3. Remove the engine oil dipstick tube.
- Position a hydraulic lift under the rigid front support.1. UIndo the nuts (1a) fixing the rigid supports (1b) to the flexible mountings.- Raise the power unit slightly.
1. Undo the front and rear bolts (1b) fixing the crankcase sump using the spanner (1b).

2. Undo the gearbox side bolts (2a) fixing the crankcase sump using the spanner (2b).

3. Using a short hexagonal spanner available on the market, undo the timing side, side fixing bolts.4. Cut the oil sump sealant using the special tool and lower the oil sump as far as possible.

5. Undo the bolts and the nut fixing the engine oil intake.6. Remove the crankcase sump together with the engine oil intake.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Clean the matching surfaces between the crankcase sump and the cylinder block/crankcase.- Apply silicon sealant to the oil sump side and rear surfaces.
Apply a continuous bead of sealant with no breaks.
1. - Position the crankcase sump in its housing together with the intake with no axial deviation.- Tighten the bolts and the nut fixing the engine oil intake.- Apply silicon sealant to the oil sump front surface.
Apply a continuous bead of sealant with no breaks.
2. Tighten the side bolts (2a) fixing the crankcase sump to the recommended torque using the spanner (2b) (to be used for the gearbox side bolts only).

- Fit the engine oil dipstick pipe.
Replace the rubber seal for the oil dipstick pipe on the sump.
- Tighten the engine oil dipstick pipe lower fixing bolt to torque.- Tighten the engine oil dipstick pipe upper fixing bolt to torque.- Connect the sump oil vapour return pipe to the separator.- Connect the electrical connection for the sump engine oil level sensor.
