Operational Description

The Body Computer M001, supplied by the lines controlled by the ignition (INT) protected b fuse F51 and the line from the battery (+30) protected by fuse F53 both housed in the junction unit under the dashboard B002, manage all the signals used for the function:

  • at pin 3 of connector H, the signal from the sensors on the gearbox L050;
  • at pin 17 of connector D, the signal from the cruise control brake pedal safety switch I035;
  • at pin 7 of connector A, the speedometer signal from the braking system control unit M051 (pin 16);
  • at pin 8 of connector F, the driver''s front door status signal.
Engine management unit M010 receives at pins 7, 8, 24, 25, 40, 56 , for versions 2.4 BZ and 3.0 BZ, or 8, 9, 30, 31, 45, 46, for 2.4 JTD 20 V versions of connector A, signals from accelerator pedal K055 and sends them via the C-CAN network to Body Computer M001 at pins 2 and 33 of connector B.Brake pedal switch I030 communicates directly to M010 information on the status of its contacts, at pin 26 ( for petrol versions) or 80 ( for diesel versions) of connector A and is supplied along lines protected by fuses F35 and F37 located in under-dashboard junction unit B002.The electric brake control unit M059, supplied at pin 22 by the line controlled by the ignition (INT) protected by fuse F51 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002, acquires all the signals used at pins 16 and 17 via the C-CAN. The control unit is connected with the emergency switch I041 from pins 9, 10, 11 and 20.The electric brake control H008 transmits the on/off signals to pins 11, 18, 19 and 20 of the electric brake control unit M059. The latter activates the left rear brke caliper motor N088 and the right one N089, respectively from pins 14 and 29 for the former and from pins 12 and 27 for the latter.The instrument panel E050 receives the failure signal for the electric brake device at pin 9 of connector A from the control unit M059 (pin 8).The supply of the two caliper motors N088 and N089, managed by the luggage compartment junction unit B045 (pins 34 and 33, respectively) is guaranteed at pins 15 and 13 of the electric brake control unit M059.The info-telematic control unit M065 communicates its commands via the B-CAN from pins 1 and 3 of connector D.
