Removing ( Refitting ) - Open the boot, remove the cover on the left hand side and disconnect the negative battery lead.    See in Op. 4110A10 STEERING WHEEL - R.R. for replacement or checks-    See in Op. 7040A26 Steering column TRIM - R.R.    See in Op. 5550A12 complete stalk unit - r+r for versions with air bag    See in Op. 7040A37 Fuse access cover in instrument panel - R.R.    See in Op. 4110A30 Support with steering control shafts - R.R.-1. Work on the fastening springs (1a) and release the brake servo push rod (1b) from the pedal.
1. Disconnect the electrical connections for the switches (1a) on the brake pedal (1b).

1. Undo the nuts fixing the pedal assembly to the bodyshell (1a) and to the brake servo (1b).2. Extract the pedal assembly complete with brake pedal
Refitting ( Removing ) - Fit the pedal assembly in the housing and secure it tightening the nuts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the electrical connections for the switches on the brake pedal.
