74618 - 1008B10 FLEXIBLE MOUNTING for power unit front support (timing side) - Replace

Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.- Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, open the boot, remove the cover on the left hand side and disconnect the negative battery lead.    See in Op. 7040D50 ENGINE COMPARTMENT UPPER SOUND INSULATION SHIELD - R.R.    See in Op. 1088B10 Engine coolant SUPPLY RESERVOIR - R.R.    See in Op. 4450B04 Right FRONT WHEEL (one) - R.R.    See in Op. 1008C10 Power unit REACTION ROD - Replace    See in Op. 1008C16 BRACKET on BODY for reaction link - R.R.- Raise the vehicle    See in Op. 1076B82 EXHAUST PIPE BETWEEN RIGHT PRECONVERTER AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R.R.    See in Op. 1076B84 EXHAUST PIPE BETWEEN RIGHT PRECONVERTER AND CATALYTIC CONVERTER - R.R.1. Undo the centre nut (1a) fixing the rigid rear support (1b) to the flexible mounting.
- Lower the vehicle.1. Remove the staking from the nut fixing the front wheel hub to the driveshaft and undo the nut.
- Position a hydraulic jack under the engine sump.1. Undo the nut (1a) fixing the timing side front support (1b) to the flexible mounting (1b) and the two bolts (1c) fixing the flexible mounting to the chassis.
- Raise the jack, as much as necessary, in order to be able to remove the flexible mounting from the engine supporting frame. Refitting ( Removing ) - Correctly position the flexible mounting in its housing in the engine supporting frame.- Tighten the two bolts fixing the flexible mounting to the engine supporting frame to the recommended torque.

- Lower the jack, centering the front engine side and centre rear supports on the flexible mountings.- Tighten the nut fixing the front support to the flexible mounting to the recommended torque.

- Remove the hydraulic jack.- Tighten the nut fixing the front wheel hub to the driveshaft to the recommended torque using the angular tightening tool.

1. Make two bevels on the nut collar as illustrated in the diagram.
- Raise the vehicle.- Tighten the nut fixing the centre rear engine support to the flexible mounting to the recommended torque.
