78560 - 3310B64 REAR BRAKE PADS - Replace with wheels removed - including handbrake adjustment (if necessary)

Removing ( Refitting ) - Position the vehicle on a lift.
Move the brake caliper pistons away in order to release the brake pads from the rear brake disc using the EXAMINER diagnostic equipment.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.    See in Op. 4450B11 Rear WHEEL (one) - R.R.1. Undo the lower bolt fixing the brake caliper.2. Turn the brake caliper upwards.3. Remove the brake pads from the housing on the bracket.
Refitting ( Removing ) - Fit the new rear brake pads in the special housings on the brackets.
Each time the brake pads are removed the fastening springs on the bracket have to be replaced.
Visually inspect the bracket boots and if they are cracked or show obvious signs of wear, replace the brake caliper bracket.
- Position the brake caliper and tighten the lower bolt fixing the caliper to the bracket.    See in Op. 4450B11 Rear WHEEL (one) - R.R.
Carry out the procedure for calibrating the rear calipers using the EXAMINER diagnostic equipment.
- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
