841003798 - E2530 INSTRUMENT LIGHTING OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION

Operational Description

When the selector is turned to position INT (+15), Body Computer M001 sends an effective signal via the B-CAN network to the control units of the driver side front door M066, passenger side front door M067 and boot M063. These turn on the lights on the left front door handle G065 (pins 15 and 17 of connector A), right front door handle G066 (pins 15 and 17 of connector A) and both lights on the left rear door handle G067 (pin 13 of connector D) and right rear door handle G068 (pin 2 of connector E) respectively.Side light activation status is downloaded from Body Computer M001 at pin 28 of connector C. This supplies a positive signal from pin 40 of connector G that supplies the front cigar lighter and boot power point screen-printed circuits and the ashtray courtesy light G035.    See E3070 CIGAR LIGHTER / CURRENT SOCKETThe adjustment controls of unit H092 are supplied via a line (INT) protected by fuse F49 of control unit B002 (pin 1 of conector C). Exterior lighting control unit H092 sends an analogue signal (potentiometer-controlled) from pin 3 of connector C to pin 11 of connector B of instrument panel E050. This light intensity adjustment signal is sent via the B-CAN network from instrument panel E050 (pins 3 and 4 of connector A) to Body Computer M001 (pins 5 and 6 of connector E), which forwards it, again via the B-CAN network, to the other control units involved in the function, e.g. infotelematic control unit M065 (pins 1 and 3 of connector D), which is equipped with a multifunctional display.Boot control unit M063, on the other hand, manages, via pin 14 of connector E, dimmed lighting of head restraint control switch lights H063, electric brake control H008, boot opening switch I011, sun-blind control I014, left and right rear door lock/release switches I028 and I029, tunnel control panel H036, driver-side seat movement controls H066 and driver side heated seat switch I065, passenger side heated switch I066, left and right rear seat heating controls on rear armrest H085 and H086, spotlights in the rear courtesy light    See E2510 COURTESY LIGHTSDriver''s side front door control unit M066 manages the lighting of fold-down mirrors H031 from poins 28 and 30 of connector C ; it suppiles the led of door lock/release switch I026 via pins 29 of connector C and 20 of connector A ; lastly, door lock/release indicator lights E036 are managed via pins 1, 2 and 3 of connector B.Passenger side front door control unit M067 manages the lighting of door lock/release switch I027 from pins 29 of connector C and 20 of connector A and the lock/release lights of door E037 via pins 1, 2 and 3 of connector B.from pins 6 and 16 of connector E, it controls the lock/release indicator lights of right rear door E038, while it manages those of left rear door E039 from pin 22 of connector F and 5 of connector D; from pin 11 of connector D it manages the dimming of symbols on exterior lighting control unit H092 (at pin 2 of connector C and 10 of B), of left control panel H091, of the climate control system outlet lights (Wiring diagram E6020 Climate control system) and steering wheel position adjustment control unit H093 (pin 8); the lights of the electric window switches on right and left doors H054 and H053 are managed from pin 32 of connector G and 23 of connector F.    See E6020 AIR CONDITIONINGclimate control system outlet lights    See E6020 AIR CONDITIONING
