The front driver and passenger side seats are equipped with a head restraint adjustment systems designed to ensure maximum driver and passenger comfort. The electric driver seat head restraint adjustment device is fully managed by the driving position control unit: movements may be manual, by means of the control unit on the left of the seat, or automatic, by calling up one of three possible stored settings.Passenger side head restraint adjustment is, however, manual only.Electric head restraint movement (manual and automatic) can be activated only with key-on (INT). At key-off (STOP), a one minute timer starts and automatic completion of the memory recall operation must be completed within this time. he device is excluded temporarily during start-up (INT/A).The head restraint is adjusted manually by means of a button on the seat control unit (the same button is used to adjust seat rake).Three buttons on the front driver seat are used to call up stored positions automatically. See E3032 DOOR MIRROR ADJUSTMENT See E3076 ELECTRICALLY-ADJUSTABLE SEATS See E3035 STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENTThis memory funcion is managed by the driving position control unit, which downloads seat and steering column positions directly and also door mirror positions via the CAN network. The control unit stores all the above positions when one of the three buttons is held down for at least three seconds. A buzzer inside the instrument panel goes off when the positions have been stored. The memory recall function is inhibited when the car is travelling faster than 10 km/h, via a signal sent via the CAN network from the Body Computer to the driving position control unit.
