The control unit for the Air Bag system M060 receives a supply controlled by the ignition (INT) at pin 18 of connector A from the line protected by fuse F50 of the junction unit under the dashboard B002.When, on the basis of the control logic, a frontal impact of a certain severity is detected, the Air Bag control unit M060 sends signals for the intervention of the modules:
driver''s Air Bag Q009, via the clock spring cable on the steering wheel D047 (connector A, from pins 5 and 6 for Stage1 operation and from pins 6 and 7 for Stage2 operation);
and, lastly, left rear pretensioners Q022 (from pins 21 and 22 of connector B) and left side Q023 (from pins 23 and 24 of connector B).
The signal for the switch for disabling the passenger Air Bag H075 reaches pin 30 of connector A of the Air Bag control unit M060.The passenger Air Bag disabling sensor K065 is connected to the control unit M060 at pins 1 and 2 of connector B.The front sensors for detecting a side impact on the driver''s side K066 and the passenger side K067 send signals to pins 25 and 26 and pins 27 and 28, respectively of connector A of the control unit M060; the left rear side impact sensor K0937 and the right one K038, on the other hand, are connected to the control unit at pins 7 and 8 and pins 5 and 6 of connector B, respectively.When, on the basis of the control logic, a side impact of a certain severity is detected, the Air Bag control unit M060 sends signals for the intervention of the modules:
driver''s front Side Bag Q030 (from pins 9 and 10 of connector A);
driver''s Head Bag Q040 (from pins 15 and 16 of connector B);
passenger front Side Bag Q031 (from pins 11 and 12 of connector A);
passenger Head Bag Q041 (from pins 13 and 14 of connector B);
left rear Side Bag Q042 (from pins 19 and 20 of connector B);
right rear Side Bag Q043 (from pins 17 and 18 of connector B);
The signal for the switch for disabling the rear Air Bag modules H076 reaches pin 10 of connector B of the Air Bag control unit M060.The signals from the driver''s seat belt switch I046 and the passenger seat belt switch I047 reach the control unit M060 at pins 31 and 32 of connetor A, respectively.The Air Bag control unit M060 is connected directly to the instrument panel E050 for:
signalling the Air Bag system failure through the warning light and the display (from pin 12 of connector A to pin 13 of connector B);
signalling the deactivation of the passenger Air Bag, through the warning light, (from pin 20 of connector A at pin 14 of connector B);
signalling the deactivation of the driver''s seat belt, through the warning light, (from pin 22 of connector A at pin 15 of connector B);
