Body Computer M001, supplied by ignition-operated line (INT) protected by fuse F37 of underfacia control unit B002 and the direct battery line (+30) protected by fuse F53 of B002, requires the following signals to operate (lock and unlock) the steering lock device:
at pin 7 of connector A, a speedometer signal from the braking system control unit M051 (pin 16);
at pin 17 of connector D, the signal coming from the safety switch on the brake pedal for the Cruise Control I035;
at pins 8 and 16 of connector F, signals from the driver side front door and left rear door status indication switches;
at pins 25 and 26 of connector G, signals from the passenger side front door and right rear door status indication switches;
at pins 5 and 7 of connector H, CID recognition signals from passive entry control unit M064 (pins 9 and 30) via the B-CAN network.
Steering lock control unit M089 receives device locking and unlocking commands at pins 6 and 7 via the B-CAN network. Control unit M089, and passive entry control unit M064 (pin31), is supplied (pin 3) from a battery-operated line protected by fuse F63 of boot compartment junction unit B045.After receiving a positive signal from "50" of ignition switch H001 at pin 4 during start-up, steering lock control unit M089 enables - via a negative signal (pin 8), activation of relay R20 inside engine bay junction unit B001 that supplies the starter motor via fuse F23 of B001. See E5010 STARTING AND RECHARINGControl unit M089 also receives an earth signal (pin 1) from the safety switch on the brake pedal for the Cruise Control I035.Control panel E050 displays the messages described previously on its matrix display by means of signals sent via the B-CAN network to pins 3 and 4 of connector A.
