841006763 - E2521 COURTESY (PUDDLE) LIGHTS OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION (Passive Entry )

Operational Description

Driver door control unit M066 receives a door open signal from the exterior handle switch I022 at pin 3 of connector A and pin 27 of connector C to activate driver side puddle light G051 and the bulb inside door mirror P060, via an earth signal from pins 21 and 22 of connector C respectively.Via the same operating principle, passenge side door control unit M067 receives an ctivation/deactivation signal from passenger side puddle light G052 and the bulb inside door mirror P061, from the switch on exterior handle I023.Driver door control unit M066 and passenger door control unit M067 (pins 31 and 32 of connector C) mutually exchange information on front door status via the B-CAN network. The exterior door release command received by "Passive Entry" control unit M064 (supplied by the battery line via fuse F63 of boot junction unit B045) is sent via the B-CAN network (pin 9 and 30) to front door control units M066 and M067. These activate only the lights inside door mirrors P060 and P061 via pin 22 of connector C in both cases. All the lights described so far are supplied by a +30 battery via fuse F32 of underfacia junction unit B002.When the rear doors are opened, boot control unit M063 receuves two different earth signals from a switch on the left exterior handle I024 (pin 37 of connector F) and a switch on right outer handle I025 (pin 26 of connector G). This activates left rear puddle light G055 (pin 2 connector D), and right rear puddle light G056 (pin 33 of connector G) via a positive timed command.
