) - Position the vehicle on a lift.

Before proceeding with the operation of removing the automatic transmission system wiring, position the gear lever in "N"

- Open the boot, remove the cover on the left hand side and disconnect the negative battery lead. See in Op. 7040D50 ENGINE COMPARTMENT UPPER SOUND INSULATION SHIELD - R.R. See in Op. 1048A21 AIR INLET HOSE FROM INTAKE TO FILTER - R.R. See in Op. 1048A28 vacuum air circuit resonator pipe - r+r See in Op. 1016A42 LEFT CYLINDER HEAD IGNITION COIL COVER - R.R. See in Op. 1048A11 COMPLETE AIR FILTER -R.R.- Raise the vehicle on the lift. See in Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD under engine - R.R.- Position a container to collect the automatic transmission fluid.1. Undo the plug and drain the transmission fluid

1. Undo the lower bolts (1a) fixing the solenoid valve unit cover (1b).

- Lower the vehicle1. Release the air conditioning system pipe (1b) from the retaining spring (1a)2. Undo the upper bolts (2a) fixing the solenoid valve unit cover (2b) and remove it taking care not to damage the gasket (2c) underneath.

1. Disconnect the solenoid valves.

1. Undo the bolt (1a) fixing the retaining bracket and remove the oil temperature sensor (1b).

proceed carefully to avoid damaging the electrical connection

- Lower the vehicle1. Undo the right bolt (1a) fixing the gear engagement selector (1b).

1. Release the wiring (1a) from the retaining bracket and release the cable loom (1b) complete with wiring.2. Open the band (2a) and release the wiring on the gearbox bowden cable mounting bracket, then disconnect the gearbox input speed sensor connector (2b).

1. Open the retaining band and disconnect the three gearbox main wiring connectors.

1. Open the flap (1a), undo the nut (1b) fixing the starter motor supply lead (1c) to the junction node and move the lead between the junction node and the motor aside.

1. Disconnect the connectors (1a) and (1b) for the braking system check control unit (1c) and remove the actual control unit.

1. Disconnect the gearbox output speed sensor connector.

1. Remove the wiring assembly.

Refitting ( Removing

) - Position the wiring.- Connect the connector for the gearbox output speed sensor- Position the braking system check control unit and connect the control unit connectors.

- Position the cable between the junction node and the starter motor, then tighten the nut fixing it to the junction node.- Connect the three main gearbox wiring connectors, then close the band.- Connect the gearbox output speed sensor connector, then close the band and secure the wiring to the gearbox bowden cable mounting bracket.- Position the gearbox wiring and fit the cable duct in its housing- Tighten the right bolt fixing the gear engagement selector.1. Position the temperature sensor (1a) and secure it using the retaining bracket (1b) tightening the fixing bolt (1c) to the recommended torque.

- Connect the gear selection solenoid valve unit connectors.

- Apply a suitable sealant to the cover matching surface.1. Tighten the nine bolts fixing the solenoid valve unit cover to the recommended torque.

- Secure the air conditioning system pipe to the retaining spring on the engine support frame.- Position the gearbox oil plug See in Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD under engine - R.R.- Lower the vehicle See in Op. 0010T44 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID - Change See in Op. 1048A11 COMPLETE AIR FILTER -R.R. See in Op. 1016A42 LEFT CYLINDER HEAD IGNITION COIL COVER - R.R. See in Op. 1048A28 vacuum air circuit resonator pipe - r+r See in Op. 1048A21 AIR INLET HOSE FROM INTAKE TO FILTER - R.R. See in Op. 7040D50 ENGINE COMPARTMENT UPPER SOUND INSULATION SHIELD - R.R.- Connect the negative battery lead, then close the boot.- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
